The Rosetown Housing Authority provides safe and adequate housing to individuals and families in need. This program is intended to serve households with low incomes; priority is given to seniors (55+), families with children or dependents, individuals with disabilities, and individuals who cohabitate to provide needed support to one or more household members. The rent for a housing unit is based on gross household income.
Qualifications
To qualify for social housing the following rates are in effect:
- Asset Limits:
- Seniors $300,000.00
- Families $50,000.00
- Income Limits:
- Senior Single $43,700.00
- Senior Couple $54,600.00
- Family – 2 bedroom $47,500.00
- 3 bedroom - $57,000.00
Seniors who are over the asset or income level may still qualify for housing but must pay the maximum unit rent ($750.00 at present)
Social Housing
The social housing units are: three bedroom houses from 800 to 1000 square feet in size, one bedroom senior housing, two to three bedroom family townhouses and three bedroom family duplexes.
The rent is based on 30% of the household's monthly total gross income. A damage deposit of $326 is required upon move-in.
