The Rosetown and District Thrift Store was established in 2003 when the Salvation Army decided to close their thrift store in Rosetown.
The Thrift Store supplies:
All items in the Thrift Store are donated from within the community and they also accept dry food donations for the Food Bank. Merchandising is on a rotating basis and the unsold items are donated to the Diabetes Association.
There are 2 staff members, 16 regular volunteers and numerous student volunteers. The Rosetown Thrift Store secures their funding support from community organizations/social clubs, business donations, individual donations, municipal contributions and funding campaigns such as raffles and hosting luncheons. The dedication and commitment of the volunteers and staff to provide a very worthwhile and much-needed community service has enabled the Rosetown Thrift Store to be self-supported.
The Thrift Store recently moved to their new facility at 116 E 2nd Avenue. For more information call the Thrift Store at 306-882-2196.
