1. When is garbage pick-up?

Garbage collection is weekly, on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday, depending on where you live in Town. 

2. When is recycling pick-up?

Recycling is collected via front-street pick up every other Thursday.

3. When is organic/compost pick-up?

Organics/compost collection usually begins in May.  The town is divided north and south at 6th Avenue and pickup is every other week per side. Recycling is in place for (6) months of the year until October, weather-permitting.

4. Where will my household garbage be picked up?

Residential garbage pick-up is in the back-alley.  In spring it will switch to front-street collection until further notice. The change from back-alley to front-street pick-up is made annually in the spring to prevent damage to the back-alleys.

5. Where will my household recycling be picked up?

Recycling is collected via front-street pick up, unless otherwise stated by the Town Office.

6. Where is the Landfill?

The Rosetown landfill is accessible from Highway 4, approximately 2 kilometers south of the intersection of Highways 4 and 7, turn east at the landfill sign.

7. Where is the Transfer Station?

The Rosetown Transfer Station is located at the site of the Landfill. It is accessible from Highway 4, approximately 2 kilometers south of the intersection of Highways 4 and 7, turn east at the landfill sign. 

8. When is the Landfill/Transfer Station open?

The Landfill/Transfer Station is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5:30 p.m., closed on statutory holidays.

9. Does the landfill/transfer station accept metal?

10. Does the landfill/transfer station accept demolition materials?

The demolition pit will accept construction, renovation and demolition material, including shingles and concrete. All other loads must be sorted.  Access to the demolition pit is dependent on a dry weather road.  Please view our rates.
